The Winter Guard RVA Royals have completed their first season, reported Anick Mejia, academy teacher and admin designee. The Winter Guard, Anick explained, is not a cheerleading team, but "a visual performance team that uses flags, movement, and choreography to interpret music. Unlike cheerleading, Winter Guard focuses on artistic expression and storytelling through movement and music."
Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) finished construction of Crown Hall (the building on the right in the photo, the two-story building on the left is called Royal Hall), a new one-story classroom building and gymnasium, along with additional parking and other site improvements.
Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) in San Jacinto concluded its inaugural CIF football season. Twenty-six students, grades 9-12, participated, and their record for the season was 4-2. The coaching staff included Nate Fitzpatrick, Lionel Green, Jalen Jefferson, Ted McAllister, and Titus Watkins.
Thirty-four high school students from Magnolia Student Center and Renaissance Valley Academy traveled to CalTrans in San Bernardino to learn about careers with CalTrans, reported Maureen Roye, director of CITE. CalTrans created a “career fair” atmosphere, she said, and students were able to talk with CalTrans staff from its different departments such as maintenance, construction, material testing, real estate, drone flying, and planning.
