We encourage all students to achieve at the highest level of their ability, develop a Growth Mindset, and become Self Regulated Learners as they celebrate their achievements. Quest Academy provides learning opportunities in small group instruction, one-on-one, and the whole group.
Mathematics – Students use TPS real-world, hands-on projects to provide innovative coverage of the Core Curriculum standards. In addition, students use a concept-based, award-winning online “Gigi” math program officially called “ST Math” to develop spatially reasoning and conceptual understanding of mathematics as well as i-Ready Instruction to focus on specific individualized needs.
ELA – The Daily 5 is a series of literacy tasks (read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, writing, and word work) that students complete each day while the teacher engages in small group instruction. This framework helps students develop their daily habits of reading, writing, and working with peers. The goal is to foster these good habits and develop lifelong skills of independent literacy. We also use a structured writing development program, Step Up to Writing, Lexia, and Reading A-Z.
Science – Students use TPS Science which provides an innovative inquiry-based program aligned to NGSS. The program uses project-based learning and cross-curricula materials with inclusive lesson plans.
History – Integrated units.
ACE – Every classroom has an Assistant Classroom Educator who, under the direction of the classroom teacher, guides small groups or one on one to meet the varying needs of our students.
