Journey Homeschool High School redefines the independent study experience by offering a supportive, flexible, and personalized path to graduation where students, parents, and staff collaborate to design a high school journey aligned to each student’s goals, interests, and future plans, with access to a wide range of academic and enrichment opportunities, including:
- A dedicated High School Teacher of Record who partners with students and families to create and monitor a customized graduation path
- Free college courses that allow students to earn both high school and college credit
- Journey’s agreed-upon Curriculum Choice options are available to further personalize learning by providing students and families with approved curriculum choices
- Weekly online homeroom and regular Sprint meetings with teachers, students, and parents
- High School Learning Lab options: in-person, academic classes led by single-subject teachers, and Study Zone hours led by instructional aides
- Support from both homeroom and single-subject teachers, along with small group online tutoring from instructional aides
- 24/7 tutoring through tutor.com
- Mobile Science Labs for hands-on learning experiences and Virtual Science Labs for flexible learning
- Access to CTE pathways, NHS, CFS, Seal of Biliteracy, Seal of Civic Engagement, internships, and approved vendors.
- Funding for curriculum, field trips, and approved vendors to support student interests and electives
- A Springs-issued Chromebook
