In this cooperative model, homeschooled students and parents are able to work with credentialed Education Specialists using our preferred Homeschool curriculum. Small-group class workshops and support are provided three days per week and parent participation is encouraged and relied upon.
Essential elements include:
- High-interest, integrated, literature-based curriculum
- The instructional week consists of three days together with peers and education specialists (T, W, TH) and two days at home (M, F) with the parent as the teacher.
- We encourage parent participation and offer a variety of opportunities for contribution and participation
- This program is available to TK-8 grade students. Keys College and Career Prep are available for 9-12th grade. Click here to learn more.

September 12, 2023Springs’ Cherry Valley Student Center began its school year with RAD (Reduce Anxiety and Depression) Week, reported Principal Tammy Slaten, “by encouraging our students to develop on a social-emotional level prior to the start of the curriculum. We realize students need to feel a sense of belonging before they can focus academically and we take pride in our RAD Week and the amazing community it brings.”

August 21, 2023Cherry Valley Student Center is planning major improvements to its campus, including adding six classrooms, a main office, staff parking, an outdoor gathering area/classrooms, and an outdoor performing arts center. The improvements will enable the center to better serve the needs of students as the school population grows, reported Principal Tammy Slaten.

April 13, 2023Raquel Lopez is the Cherry Valley Student Center’s new revolving substitute teacher, reported Principal Tammy Slaten. She began the year as the 4th/5th grade ACE, Tammy said, but “I quickly noticed her gift of reaching our students and have since extended her daily duties to student intervention.”

January 3, 2023Springs’ Cherry Valley Student Center created a Winter Wonderland Workshop where families chose crafts to create while visiting with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Student art was on display for visitors to enjoy, and student council members presented a hot cocoa and cookie fundraiser. Principal
Tammy Slaten said, “Our families had a blast and are looking forward to this event's return next year.”
