Personalized Learning
How do we personalize learning for each student?
We have an intimate setting that allows for a smaller school and more one on one interaction between students and teachers. We take the time to learn about each student’s strengths and weaknesses in order to create an effective learning environment where each child can succeed. We provide the students with the tools they need to guide their progress and learn to be proud of their accomplishments. By integrating technology, we are able to meet individual student needs and allow the students to develop skills necessary to be competent in today’s changing society. The high school course of study is rigorous. Students who attend our program from 9th grade will graduate with all the requirements necessary for UC college entrance. K-8th grades utilize various curricula:
Language Arts – The curriculum we use for ELA/Reading includes; iReady Language Arts, Ready Core Reading, Read Theory, Lexia, RazKids, and Reading Plus as well as various novel-based and PBL projects. Our teachers also use supplemental resources to personalize and challenge students at their individual levels.
