Bear River Staffing News, Longevity Trophy

In Springs’ Bear River Student Center staffing news, the school has a new program facilitator, Dontae Jelks.  Additionally, two ACEs, Erin Heredia and Tom Fagot, recently earned bachelor’s degrees, Ms. Heredia’s in psychology and Mr. Fagot’s in Applied Studies.

Three Bear River Students Win Arts Awards

June 4, 2020

Three students at Springs’ Bear River Student Center have won PTSA Reflections Awards: Matthew Brown, 8th grade, Award Of Merit: Visual Arts, Gavin Dolan(pictured), 8th grade, Award Of Merit: Film. and Jaden Jackson, 8th grade, Award Of Excellence: Photography and Oma’s Choice Award For Photography.

Corona-Bear River Football Scrimmage

The Corona Coyote football team played the Bear River Bears in a scrimmage at La Ladera Park, Menifee. Since the Corona team only had six players, the coaches brought all of the players together and split them up into two teams that were equally matched. Coach Tom Fagot acted as referee and mentor. Bear River Students Discuss their Success in School

April 22, 2019

Two students in Springs’ Bear River Student Center addressed the school’s board of directors as part of the principal’s presentation on their success at the Center. Fifth-grader Rachel Gomez, Principal Shane Wickwire reported, “spoke about how much she loves Bear River, describing how she likes the fact that personalization takes place in the classrooms, allowing her and her fellow students to work at their own pace.” Continue reading
