The Corona Coyote football team played the Bear River Bears in a scrimmage at La Ladera Park, Menifee. Since the Corona team only had six players, the coaches brought all of the players together and split them up into two teams that were equally matched. Coach Tom Fagot acted as referee and mentor. Two students in Springs’ Bear River Student Center addressed the school’s board of directors as part of the principal’s presentation on their success at the Center. Fifth-grader Rachel Gomez, Principal Shane Wickwire reported, “spoke about how much she loves Bear River, describing how she likes the fact that personalization takes place in the classrooms, allowing her and her fellow students to work at their own pace.” Continue reading →

Springs held its annual flag football tournament on November 5. Four elementary and four middle school teams played. The Corona Student Center Coyotes took first place at the elementary level, and the Bear Creek team won at the middle school level. A total of 120 Springs students participated. Continue reading →
