In its library, Springs’ Bear River Student Center added a “MakerSpace,” a collaborative workspace for students to explore and imagine like Leonardo da Vinci. Recent student projects included building a tower with plastic cups—the 5th grade had the tallest tower, at 6 feet, 1 inch—listening to the story Five Little Pumpkins and building a fence to hold a pumpkin up and marble mazes on plates.
