Springs’ iShine Student Center celebrated Veterans Day with a special tribute honoring those who have served in the military. The kindergarten sang and signed Proud to be an American, students in the Boy Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance, Ms. Tyrina, the 4th-grade teacher, sang the National Anthem, kindergarten and 1st-grade students sang and assisted with decorations, and the middle school students read poems they wrote. Veterans in attendance shared stories of their service, and then toured the school.
