In its library, Springs’ Bear River Student Center added a “MakerSpace,” a collaborative workspace for students to explore and imagine like Leonardo da Vinci. Continue reading
The Corona Coyote football team played the Bear River Bears in a scrimmage at La Ladera Park, Menifee. Since the Corona team only had six players, the coaches brought all of the players together and split them up into two teams that were equally matched. Coach Tom Fagot acted as referee and mentor. Maddison “Grey” Levesque, who just finished the 8th grade at Springs’ Bear River Student Center, is the August 2019 Student Artist of the Month. She lives in Menifee. Her picture is called “Springs Street.” Continue reading
Two students in Springs’ Bear River Student Center addressed the school’s board of directors as part of the principal’s presentation on their success at the Center. Fifth-grader Rachel Gomez, Principal Shane Wickwire reported, “spoke about how much she loves Bear River, describing how she likes the fact that personalization takes place in the classrooms, allowing her and her fellow students to work at their own pace.” Continue reading

Springs’ Bear River Volleyball has completed a successful season, reported Coach Amanda Reynolds, taking first place at the elementary and middle school levels during a competition against other Springs teams in Riverside. Continue reading
Springs held its annual flag football tournament on November 5. Four elementary and four middle school teams played. The Corona Student Center Coyotes took first place at the elementary level, and the Bear Creek team won at the middle school level. A total of 120 Springs students participated. Continue reading
