Homeschool Student Excels in Science Competition

Chandler Joy, a 12-year-old 7th grade Homeschool student who lives in Murrieta, won 1st place in the River Springs Charter School (RSCS) 6-8th grade Homeschool Science Fair 2014, 1st place for the RSCS 6-8th grade District Science Fair 2014 and 2nd in the 6-8th grade RIMS Regional Science Fair 2014.  Her topic: The Effect of Vitamin-C on Bacteria.

KEYS Student Dances Competitively

Jenna Blevens, age 14, is a 9th grade student homeschooled through the KEYS independent study program.  She lives in Fallbrook.  She is in her first year with Springs.  She’s grateful for her participation in the KEYS program because it gives her the flexibility to devote 4-6 hours per day, six days a week to dance practice, which has enabled her to successfully compete in dance events. Student Profile: Elizabeth O’Connor

Elizabeth O’Connor, age 6, of Lake Arrowhead is a Homeschool student in the 1st grade.  Her mother, Michelle, observed, “Elizabeth is enthusiastic about and learning and about Homeschool.  She loves hands-on learning and really applies herself.”  She also likes to assist her four-year-old brother, John Paul, who is pre-K but has worked through some of the Homeschool curriculum for kindergarten.
