The Santa Ana Student Center (SASC) has adopted monthly character trait themes. September’s was respect. Principal Tricia Gallagher explained, “We’ve focused on learning and practicing respect on campus, at home, and with ourselves, or self-respect.”

SASC Playground Receives Upgrade

August 26, 2022

The Santa Ana Student Center (SASC) is receiving a playground upgrade, reported Principal Tricia Gallagher. The previous blacktop was damaged by large tree roots; the new concrete playground will have painted games such as hopscotch and four-square and a full basketball court, expanded from a single basketball hoop.

Santa Ana Center Student Founds K.I.D.S.

March 12, 2021

Isabelle Won, a 5th-grade student at the Santa Ana Student Center, has founded K.I.D.S. (Kind Individuals Doing Service) in an effort to improve the lives of others in the community. She and her fellow students in K.I.D.S. plan to engage in a major project each month; the first one was handing out Valentine’s Day goodie bags filled with chocolates, pencils, erasers, and other treats to people in their community. December Student Artist of the Month

Makenna Wills, 11, a 5th-grade student at the Santa Ana Student Center, is the December 2020 Student Artist of the Month. The Santa Ana resident likes to draw people, animals, fairies, and mermaids using markers, crayons and colored pencils. In addition to art, she likes theater, soccer, and biking.
