Graduation 2025
Last Thursday, it was my great pleasure to participate in the graduation ceremony for Springs’ Class of 2025. We saw 310 of our seniors graduate from our various programs in which, as I mentioned in my remarks, they were required to make real choices, work independently a significant portion of the time, and take direct responsibility for their own learning. Our graduates learned through experience how to set goals, worked towards goals independently, participated in internships and career technical education, performed community service, and engaged in other personalized activities that helped them attain the future they envisioned.
Among our graduates, 219 completed CTE Pathways, and 88 of those students also received a CTE Academic Honor Cord. One of these students went on to earn two cords, which all students were able to wear as they graduated. Many of our graduates have already received college credits either through articulated courses or concurrent enrollment, and the majority of our graduates have completed at least two college courses. And, as I further noted in my remarks, 32 of our graduates have chosen a Springs program for every year of their education, from kindergarten or first grade to their senior year.
We’re also pleased to acknowledge that our Summit Springs Educational Foundation, with the valued support of the Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation, was able to award $25,000 in scholarships to 15 of our seniors going on to college. These scholarships support student success by recognizing academic achievement, promoting post-secondary education, and empowering graduates to pursue their career goals with confidence and purpose.
I want to thank our teachers for their outstanding work in educating our graduates, and our parents and guardians who have supported each of these students as they pursued their academic goals. We are proud of the accomplishments of our graduating class, and we wish you the very best for your future. Please keep in touch with us in the upcoming years, and let us know how you are doing. We wish all of our Springs families a very enjoyable summer, and for our returning students, we look forward to seeing you again this fall.
