Springs staff celebrated parents of Venture and Homeschool students who had completed parent certification at the two Parent Ignite conferences held in August.
More than 300 parents participated in Springs’ annual Parent Ignite! conferences. Keynote speakers included Superintendent Kathleen Hermsmeyer and Survivor contestant and motivational speaker Gillian Larson.
Our annual Parent Ignite Conference, designed to ignite parents for the new school year, expanded to two locations with 350 parents and 500 students participating!
Springs’ Student Parent REGIONAL Educational Events (SPREE) offer homeschool parents the opportunity to attend a FREE workshop led by Education Specialists Michelle Sullivan and Kelly Harrel. This workshop counts as credit towards your Parent Certification Program. It’s a great time to learn new strategies, collaborate, connect, and share experiences with other homeschool families.

Homeschool parents are issued Canvas logins using their unique parent ID number found in Oasis. If you do not know your Canvas username or your parent ID# please contact your ES.
The Springs Homeschool program has grown steadily in recent years, said Homeschool Director Tammy Jackson, necessitating that an additional 20 Education Specialists be hired for the school year, bringing to a total of 103 the number of Educational Specialists working in the program.
Homeschool students will have the opportunity to participate in a S.P.R.E.E. (Student-Parent Regional Education Event) on Wednesday, March 25, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (check-in at 8:30 a.m.).
