It was my great pleasure to participate in two ribbon-cutting ceremonies in November at our two newest Springs student centers, the Del Rio Student Center in Perris and the Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) in San Jacinto. On September 8, 2019, a commentary I wrote on the success of charter schools and the current political environment which threatens them appeared in the Riverside Press-Enterprise. Welcome back to the new 2019-2020 school year! We’re delighted that you have chosen one of the Springs Charter Schools family of schools as your charter school of choice. We’ve begun our 20th year of operation with 9,126 students, including 6,656 at River Springs Charter School, the largest charter school in the country. We’ve been growing steadily, and this year alone we’ve hired more than 200 new employees. I attribute our success both to you, our Springs families, as well as Springs’ many fine teachers and support staff who work so hard to ensure that our students receive an outstanding education.
