Springs Murrieta Student Center Montessori middle school students in teacher Beth Whitehead’s class, have created their own fictitious toy companies. They worked in groups to select their company’s name, mission, logo, and motto, and have created prototypes of their own unique toys. The students then wrote five-paragraph essays about their experiences and created websites to go with them, the first time for most creating one.

Trevor Lambert, 9, a 4th-grade student in the Murrieta Student Center, competed in the Jiu-Jitsu World League in Scottsdale, Arizona, and won the gold medal by winning four matches. The French Valley resident trains four times a week a Carlson Gracie Temecula as a grey-black belt and has competed for four years (see photos here).

The Murrieta Student Center has launched a Global Science Collaboration partnering students from the Montessori Middle School program with high school students from Instituto de Educacao Beatissma Virgem Maria in São Paulo, Brazil.
