The annual Springs spelling bee was held virtually this year, with each participant given 25 spelling words and 25 vocabulary words. The winners were:
1st place: Giuliana Lizarraga, 4th grade, Otay Ranch Academy for the Arts
2nd place: David Escalante, 7th grade, Murrieta Student Center
3rd place: JuSohn Jones, 8th grade, iShine Student Center
4th place: Hailey Jaynes, 6th grade, Homeschool
