Venture Student is an Accomplished Gymnast

Taylor Wells, an 11-year-old who is part of Springs’ Venture Online program, is an accomplished young gymnast. She began with gymnastics at age 3, and today is an award-winning gymnast who trains with the Junior Olympics Gymnastics at levels 7 and 8.

November Student Artist of the Month

Ayesha Chloe Abril, a 7th-grade grade student with Springs’ Otay Ranch Academy for the Arts (ORAA), is the Student Artist of the Month for November. She is 13 and lives in Chula Vista. She has attended Springs since 3rd grade. She likes to draw characters from anime and video games. Besides art, she likes Taekwondo.

Fire Departments Visit SASC, Del Rio

Park Day Draws Over 160 Families

Enterprise Learning Center Sensory Pathways

Springs’ Enterprise Learning Center in Temecula has launched its first of many Sensory Pathways near the TK/KN room on the first floor, reported Homeschool Principal April Jacoby.  She said, “A big shout out to Instructional Aide Alyssa Urrea for her wizardry with the Cricut® cutting machine. The second-floor teachers can’t wait for the addition of another Sensory Hallway upstairs.”

Fun Run Raises $15,000 for Otay Ranch

October 27, 2022

The Otay Ranch Student Center held its annual APEX fundraiser netting more than $15,000 for school technology, reported Vice Principal Melissa Maguire.  The fundraiser kicked off with a pep rally, followed by two weeks of character-building lessons and students collecting pledges for a culminating fun run. Topics discussed included being fearless, adapting, and being original.

SPREEs Support Homeschool Community

Springs’ SPREEs (Student – Parent Regional Educational Events), “make it-take it” educational workshops for grades TK-8, have been a huge success for the Homeschool community, reported Nikki McAdoo, events and community engagement coordinator. Six SPREES were held in September and October (Chula Vista, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, Riverside, Orange County, and Cherry Valley) with over 100 parents and students attending.

iShine Pink Out Day, Farm Visit, Backpacks

Springs iShine Student Center participated in Pink Out Day in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. TK-K students also enjoyed a visit to Peltzer’s Farm’s pumpkin patch. And, representatives from Toyota donated 400 backpacks and school supplies to the school.
