The Corona Student Center held an 8th-grade parade promotion ceremony in May as its 8th-grade teacher is expecting a child the week school finishes. Students received goodie bags as they passed by. The Corona Coyote football team played the Bear River Bears in a scrimmage at La Ladera Park, Menifee. Since the Corona team only had six players, the coaches brought all of the players together and split them up into two teams that were equally matched. Coach Tom Fagot acted as referee and mentor.
