Virtual Academy Teacher Named CCSA Hart Vision Teacher of the Year
I am pleased to announce that Kimberly Matthews, a teacher with our Virtual Academy, has been named the 2025 Hart Vision Teacher of the Year by the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA). This prestigious award honors her exceptional work in education and her commitment to student success in the virtual learning environment.

Kimberly received the award in recognition of her innovative approach to virtual education which has made a profound impact on her students, ensuring they not only excel academically but also thrive socially and emotionally. Her ability to build strong relationships with her students, even in a virtual setting, is one of the key factors in her success. She works tirelessly to ensure that each student receives personalized attention, adapting her teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of her learners. Her creativity, empathy, and dedication have inspired her students and colleagues alike.
I am most grateful that we have so many fine teachers like Kimberly at Springs. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of our students.
