Springs’ Venture Online Academy has begun its 3rd year of operation and is going strong, reported Michelle Lomas, program facilitator.
Five Venture teachers are serving 130 students, many of whom are pursuing a passion and find an online program a good fit for their lives. “We have students who are gymnasts, motocross racers, dancers, actors, athletes, equestrians, musicians and world travelers,” reported Ms. Lomas. “They find us a good fit for their lives.”
The program serves grades K-12; all students have instant access to a credentialed teacher in each of their core subject areas. Students can enroll in any of Springs online electives, can join learning center classes and can participate in the field trips Springs offers, all while crafting their own personalized learning plan and flexible schedule.
