Neveah Atchison, 12, is entering the 8th grade at the iShine Student Center. She lives in Murrieta. She began with the Homeschool program in the 4th grade, then transferred to iShine for 5th grade.
It has been a wonderful fit for her, she said: “After my first year with the iShine program, I kept going because I loved it.” She said the program’s strong points include its individualized learning: “I can move at my own speed and challenge myself. The learning style is great for me, because I get to be creative and am encouraged to try new things and look for new perspectives.” She also enjoys a “great bond” with her teachers and fellow students. Her favorite subjects include science and language arts. She hopes to be a children’s author when she grows up. Her hobbies include soccer, drawing, creative writing, baking, singing, and dancing. She is pleased to share her positive experiences at Springs with friends attending different schools. She said, “I tell them iShine gives you the freedom to work ahead. Its teachers have respect for your learning goals, and allow you to create your own learning path.”
