Quest Academy Begins Second Year, “Trunk-or-Treat” First Community Event

Orange County Quest Academy has begun its second year with 160 students K-12, with the K-8 program operating on-site in Santa Ana. Its grades 9-12 Keys Career and College Prep program is an independent study model allowing students to work at their own pace while meeting weekly with teachers and classmates.

Trunk or Treat

Kitty Fortner, Principal, explained, “We operate with a personalized-learning model, creating an individualized plan for each of our students based on their academic scores, interests and learning styles.”

Many students and parents are attracted by the school’s smaller size, she said, “where everyone knows everyone else.”

Quest Academy is part of the Springs Charter Schools network. As a charter school, Quest is a tuition-free, public school open to all, and is an alternative to the traditional public school classroom environment.  Students may enter at any time during the school year. For additional information, or to tour the school, please contact (951) 595-5174 or ocquest@springscs.org.

“Trunk-or-Treat” – Quest will celebrate its second “Trunk-or-Treat,” a safe Halloween alternative open to the general public, on Friday, October 31, at 5 p.m. at the Quest school site, 2121 N. Grand Avenue, Santa Ana, CA. Members of the community are welcome to participate whether or not they are part of the school, as well as prospective students and parents.

Attendees are invited to dress in costume and gather candy from the trunks of decorated cars. Dinner and games are also part of the fun. The event was well attended last year with 200 participating, and a strong showing is expected again this year.
