RVA Senior Wins Laptop at Fair

October 25, 2021

Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy senior Guillermo Rubio Beltran won a laptop computer while participating in the virtual Riverside College and Career Fair. Guillermo has an internship with the Hemet San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce during which he plans to team up with community leaders for an opportunity to have hands-on experience in engineering. He attended the fair to look for job opportunities available to him after he finishes school.

RVA Grows, Implements POP Curriculum

July 16, 2021

Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy serving grades 6-12 has been steadily growing, reported Vice Principal Brian Bailey, necessitating the hiring of new teachers and exploring opportunities to expand on an adjacent property. The school anticipates having 640 students in grades 6-12 when the school year begins.

RVA Students Compete in Cross Country

Springs Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) students Joseph Perkins, 9th grade, and Dennis Preci, 10th grade, completed their cross country season at Aquinas High School in March.  Although the season was hampered by the pandemic, the pair competed in five meets against four other schools. RVA Math Collaboration, Student Leadership Academy

Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) has begun a math collaboration effort between elementary and middle/high school students to identify and target missing math skills with the goal of increasing math proficiency across the grade levels. Brian Bailey, Eric Ballard, and Cinda Moon met this week to begin the process.

RVA Formalizes Science Department

Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) science teachers Jim ArdalanLynnette MunozJonathan Kunz and Tyrone Berry are formalizing a science department, reported Vice Principal Brian Bailey. Its purpose is to increase student interest in science and to encourage more students to participate in a virtual science fair in January. One RVA student who is doing amazing things in science at the school is junior Guillermo Rubio Beltran (pictured), who created a video highlighting his study of centripetal force in Mr. Ardalan’s physics class.

RVA Summer Focus, Chamber Membership

Springs’ Renaissance Valley Academy (RVA) in San Jacinto held a Summer Focus to help middle and high school students improve in ELA and math.  This is the 5th such summer program, and the first to include middle school students and to be held online.  Students met virtually with teachers twice a week for an hour of optional learning.
