Springs’ Cherry Valley Co-op held its back-to-school Teacher Meet and Greet themed to the Back to the Future movie series, including a greeting from Marty McFly and such props as a DeLorean, hoverboard, and sports almanac. Teachers spoke to parents and discussed personalized learning expectations and tried to ease anxieties and worries related to the new school year. Springs’ Cherry Valley Cooperative held a virtual Kindergarten Roundup to prepare for the new school year. As part of the Roundup, Tammy Slaten, assistant director, delivered 11 backpacks to students entering kindergarten with the school, which included materials to make a puppet, an alphabet coloring book to help students practice their alphabet, and a countdown to school sheet to follow to prepare for school.

Springs’ Cherry Valley Homeschool Cooperative will hold its annual Career Fair on March 26, featuring presentations by members of the community who visit the school and talk about their professions. Students have the opportunity to ask participants questions which can help them discern what career paths they might like to take. Continue reading →
The Cherry Valley Homeschool Cooperative & Learning Center held a jog-a-thon to raise money for a shade structure for the dismissal area. Students grades TK-8 collected pledges and ran laps; 158 participated, nearly $1,500 was raised. Continue reading →
