Springs’ Cherry Valley Homeschool Cooperative will hold its annual Career Fair on March 26, featuring presentations by members of the community who visit the school and talk about their professions. Students have the opportunity to ask participants questions which can help them discern what career paths they might like to take.
Other upcoming Cherry Valley events include its annual Hands Across Our Campus event on April 22; students join hands to create a human chain across the campus. The focus of the event is to teach students to be kind to one another. Students will visit stations featuring different items decorated with a “kindness” theme, such as painted rocks and personalized quilt pieces.
In the Cherry Valley cooperative model, homeschooled students and parents are able to work with credentialed education specialists using Springs’ preferred Homeschool curriculum. Small-group class workshops and support is provided three days per week with parent participation encouraged. The program currently serves 150 students K-8.
