Zeina Massoud, 16, a junior in Springs’ KEYS program, is the illustrator of a new book available on Amazon, Children’s Lala-bies: Poetry for the Soul.
She drew 27 illustrations for the book, including the front and back covers. She “loved” illustrating the book, she said, and added, “I love drawing and painting and everything to do with art.”
The Riverside resident chose Springs because she likes the flexibility it gives her. Zeina hopes to become a fashion designer when she finishes school, and hopes to have the opportunity to illustrate additional books. Her other interests include piano and singing; she noted she recently sang the National Anthem for an event held in Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside.
