Sarah Adams is the new principal at Springs’ Vista Student Center. She has been a charter school leader and principal for the past 10 years.
Ms. Adams grew up in San Diego, attended both UCSD and SDSU on an Army ROTC scholarship, and served as a U.S. Army Engineer Officer before entering the teaching profession.
She wanted to work for Springs, she said, because it has been “a model of success in the charter school movement and I’ve admired the organization for many years.” Springs puts students first, she continued, and is “an exemplary model of parent, community and school partnership that provides each student the best educational experience possible. Additionally, they have a wonderfully supportive and encouraging organizational culture for employees that makes it great to work here.”
While at Vista Student Center she hopes to grow both personally and professionally, and wants to increase enrollment. She noted that the Center already started with nearly 50% more students than the previous year.
She has two college-age children, she added, and “we all love to camp, hike and travel for fun.”
