Haruki Yokoyama is a senior with Springs’ Venture Online program and is an accomplished motorcycle racer. Originally from Saitama, Japan, today he lives in Rosamond, California.
Being the top rider in Japan, his family moved to the United States so that he could compete against the fastest racers in the world. Haruki started riding motorcycles in Japan at the age of four. Today, he rides a KX250F for Simi Valley Kawasaki “Team Green.” He is starting the 2017 race season as a 250A and Open Pro Sport Rider.
Haruki hopes to earn his AMA Pro card this year so he can begin racing as a professional. Venture Online has helped him achieve his goal of studying English and earning his high school diploma. Haruki was one of the original students who began with Venture Online in 2014 and will graduate in 2018. After graduation, he will venture into the world as a professional motocross rider. With Venture, he has honed his skills in math, English, and photography. Away from school, he likes to ride BMX bikes and go to the gym.
