Sophia Prado, 12, an 8th grade student in Springs’ Da Vinci program at the Bear Creek Student Center, has found the program a good fit for her:
“I am ahead of my grade level in most subjects. I like that Springs allows me to work at my own pace and be challenged, rather than getting bored working on things at my own grade level.”
Language Arts was long her favorite class, but now she likes math. She explained, “My math teacher, Mrs. Martinez, has really helped me to understand math better. It is now my new favorite subject.”
The Lake Elsinore resident started with Springs in the 2nd grade as part of the Montessori program at the Murrieta Student Center. Sophia has developed great respect for her teachers, she said, because “they are able to handle a classroom in a disciplined, but always nice way.”
