Venture Junior Plans for Career in Criminology

Amani Turner is a junior who joined Springs’ Venture Online program in the fall. She is taking a heavy load of classes to earn to ensure she graduates on time and has found Venture has offered the right mix of flexibility and discipline that has enabled her to get back on track for graduation. She attributes her success to family, teachers, and fellow classmates.

Del Rio Students Visit Hemet Science Center

January 25, 2024

Students from Springs’ Del Rio Student Center enjoyed a field trip to the Western Science Center, a natural history museum in Hemet. They learned about Ice Age giants such as the mastodon, made their way through recreations of an 80 million-year-old Cretaceous forest, studied dinosaur fossils, were introduced to a typical 1880s house from the Diamond Valley region and much more.

Santa Ana Students’ Holiday Peformance

January 8, 2024

Springs’ Santa Ana Student Center’s holiday performance was “magical,” reported Elisa Cornelius, school counselor.  Students sang such popular Christmas songs as “Feliz Navidad,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and ‘Frosty the Snowman.’ The variety of performances, including “delightful jingles played on recorders during ‘Jingle Bells,’” “captivated” the audience, she said.

Enterprise Joins in Toy Drive for Needy Children

January 2, 2024

Springs’ Enterprise Resource Center participated in the “Spark of Love” Toy Drive organized by Riverside County Fire Department Station 73, which collects toys for children for the Christmas season. Site facilitator, Dayna Rodela Lopez also dressed up as an elf on the shelf for the students.
