Magnolia Student Center’s CIF girls Varsity Volleyball had a “tremendous” season, reported coach Tori Cantu. They ended their season 12-11, and were the number one seeded team in their CIF division for playoffs. They are losing only one senior, Tori said, so next year’s team “looks promising.”
The Magnolia Student Center is a CIF school in the Tri-County Premier League. This season, the Falcons were voted for and earned the Sportsmanship Award, being voted on by the other seven schools and athletic directors in the league. “This is a true testament to their positive sportsmanship and enthusiastic personalities both on and off the court,” Tori believes.
Tori was voted the Tri-County Premier League Coach of the Year for volleyball. She is assisted by her father, Coach Ray Cantu, and together they have led Magnolia’s volleyball program to CIF playoffs since 2018.
