Otay Ranch Academy of the Arts (ORAA) students joined 13,166,854 students in 24,027 schools and 113 countries in the 2019 Great Kindness Challenge week. Students were encouraged to perform acts of kindness during the week.
Activities included kindness-themed dress-up days, “Caught Being Kind” slips and kindness recess stations. Students were able to decorate their own link to add to our school kindness paper chain, and the Kindness Committee greeted parents and students every morning with uplifting, inspiring messages. The week ended with students wearing red and gathering for an all-school photograph in the shape of a heart.
