Magnolia Student Center freshman Chase Kleckner, 14, has been invited to participate in a Lake Perris rowing team. He practices six days a week, and hopes to one day compete in the Olympics.
Also, the Center is beginning its inaugural season of CIF Swim and has joined the Ambassador League, reported Principal Beverly Voechting. Eleven of the high school’s 130 students are training for competition which begins in March; as a member of the Ambassador League, competitions can be held in the campus pool. Mrs. Voechting noted that with the school’s indoor pool, “our athletes can train, no matter the weather outside. Excitement is high as our athletes practice five days a week to perfect their strokes.”
