Students and staff involved with Springs’ KEYS program were honored with a plaque from the Kamali’i Foster Family Agency, reported Chelsie Simpson, a KEYS ES.
KEYS student Cecilia Clark was once a foster child in the agency, and spearheaded an effort to donate blankets and ornaments to the agency’s foster children last Christmas. The plaque was signed by families who received the gifts.
Mrs. Simpson said, “This was truly a highlight of the year and because of you [students], we were able to make 80 blankets and give special gifts to the kids. I will be hanging this proudly in my classroom for you all to see!”
