E.J. Whitehead is the new interim principal for the Corona Student Center (CSC) for the remainder of the 2018-19 school year.
He began his teaching career with Eagles Peak Charter School in adult schools in 2000, and went on to teach ‘at risk’ youth in Riverside County in 2004. Since his time at Eagles Peak, he has served in many capacities in the Springs family of schools, from Classified to administration. He said, “Kathleen [Hermsmeyer] has always been a guiding support in my journey from Eagles Peak to Springs. I can’t thank her enough.”
His time at the Corona Student Center has been “a blessing.” He said, “We have an amazing staff and they have welcomed me wholeheartedly. We have quickly blended into a cohesive team and are planning for great things in the future.”
He plans to go through the application process with other candidates this summer and hopes to be selected as the permanent principal. In addition to being a member of the Springs staff, he is a Springs parent. His two daughters, Eden and Jillian, are students at Springs’ Murrieta Student Center. He said, “They are my little loves and I could not imagine my life without them.”
