Homeschool students Chase Pregler and Ephraim Stites won gold medals in the elementary division and Emmanuel Stites and Chandler Themm won silver medals in the junior division of the 33rd annual Riverside, Inyo, Mono and San Bernardino Inland Area Science and Engineering Fair on April 7.
The event promotes individual research in the science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) fields and ties in with state Common Core standards focused on applying classroom learning to the real world. Students grades 4 to 12 participated. Chandler was invited to Broadcom Masters, a middle school science and engineering fair competition
