Craig Hernandez, 14, is an accomplished pianist.
He practices an hour a day six days a week, and has performed at assisted living facilities and in public recitals. He has received many honors because of his proficiency on the piano.
Craig is a Homeschool student in the 8th grade. He lives in Riverside. He began playing piano at age 6, and kept playing because of his mother’s encouragement. He said, “She encouraged me to continue through all the times I wanted to quit. After seven years of lessons, I began to enjoy playing.”
Craig plans to get a master’s degree in computer programming, and work as a programmer for the military. He also enjoys kickboxing, running and lifting weights and working the audio soundboard at his church.
