Springs Homeschool students and sisters Alexis, Aliyah, and Alyssa Harris (grades 5 & 2) have launched Pop Roxy Girls, a business that provides subscribers with “Glam Lits,” boxes delivered monthly containing such items as glamour themed books, fashion accessories, and a STEM surprise.
Keisha Harris, their mother, said they launched the effort because “we wanted to work for ourselves and be our own bosses.” Their target market is girls 8-12, she added.
The San Bernardino residents joined the Springs Homeschool program at the beginning of the 2020-21 school year as it gave them the opportunity to pursue acting. They have worked on collaborative projects for LOL Surprise, Disney, Crypt TV, Goldie Blox, and Free Forum television.
Keisha said, “Homeschool has been working out well. The girls love it, and it gives them the opportunity to pursue acting.”
