Students in Springs’ Cherry Valley Homeschool Cooperative participated in an interactive R.A.D. Week in which students were guided through Social Emotional Learning activities aimed to Reduce Anxiety and Depression. “Our goal,” said Assistant Director Tammy Slaten, “is to build the grit necessary and the positive coping skills needed for our students to thrive in today’s learning environments.”
Students were challenged to spread kindness like confetti and create a R.A.D. chain, earning links for every kind act they do. Ms. Slaten continued, “This is an engaging week that sets our students up for successful learning. We want for them to feel safe during these uncertain times.”
