Once final safety plan approval from each county health department has been received, we must ensure that all of the newly revised COVID-19 safety guidelines are in place at each location. Many of these are identical or similar to the plans we were already prepared to implement, but some of them are new.
Requirements for In-Person Instruction
-
- We are not allowed to open classrooms for students in grades 7-12 until the county transmission levels are in the RED tier.
- We must ensure desks are 6’ apart at all times.
- Staff and students will be required to wear masks at all times, except when eating.
Accommodations for students who are unable to wear a mask will be made based on the guidelines from the California Department of Public Health for schools. If you plan for your child to return to In-Person instruction, and you have concerns about your child’s ability to wear a mask, please contact your child’s teacher or school administrator to discuss. - Initially, students will remain with an assigned small group of classmates and will not interact with other groups or change classrooms throughout the day. Once the local health department has determined that these restrictions can be relaxed, we will begin to transition to allowing more interactions between stable groups of students.
