Please take into consideration that the overflow parking areas may require a few minutes of walking to actually get to the summit Ballroom, so give yourself plenty of time to arrive.
|
| Parking | Free Self-Parking is available in the East Parking Structure located at 45410 Pechanga Pkwy, Temecula, CA 92592. Head south on Pechanga Parkway, and turn right on Pechanga Resort Drive. The entrance to the structure is immediately to the RIGHT. Valet parking is available at a cost of $10 per vehicle (subject to change).
|
| Tickets | Due to the increased size of our graduating class, admission will require a ticket for every individual attending, including children of all ages and those needing handicapped seating. Each family will receive a maximum of 8 tickets, which will be included in the graduation mailer. Up to 3 additional tickets were available via a waitlist request.
|
| Dress Code |
All students are expected to arrive wearing their black cap and gown (see below), along with the coordinating sash and tassel representing their program (see below). Please be sure to iron or steam your gown and sash ahead of time (no one looks their best in a wrinkled gown). To honor the dignity of the occasion, students should wear comfortable yet dressy attire beneath their graduation gown. Please avoid jeans or overly casual footwear when possible. Since there is a walk from the parking area and the Summit Ballroom is quite large, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and avoiding high heels or large platform shoes.
|
| Additional Items | Once you check in and enter the student waiting room, you will not see your family members until after the commencement ceremony. Please make the necessary arrangements to give valuables such as purses or cameras to a family member before entering the student room. There will not be a place to store your items securely.
Students planning to borrow a sash or gown will pick those items up at registration.
|
| Cap, Gown and Regalia | Students are expected to wear a solid black cap and gown (matte finish is preferred) in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. A tassel matching the color of your sash with a “2026” charm will be provided to all seniors. Students can purchase a gown or borrow one from a sibling/friend.
There are many economical choices available to purchase caps and gowns online. This is an example of a cap and gown you can purchase on Amazon for approximately $30. Students may decorate the top of their cap only, and it must be done tastefully. ALL decorations MUST lay FLAT on the cap. Nothing can lay perpendicular, thus allowing us to see the decoration beyond eye level. Nothing can hang from any side of the cap. Your cap cannot make noise, such as bells or horns. Cap designs must be school-appropriate and cannot include offensive language, flags, or derogatory names/statements. Students may decorate the top of their cap only, and it must be done tastefully. | Ceremony Etiquette |
Commencement is both a joyous and solemn event. Graduates have worked hard to achieve this goal, and we want to make certain that each student has his or her “moment in the sun.” We request that each graduate, as well as family and friends, respect the dignity of the ceremony for all involved. Please be courteous to the other families/graduates by keeping conversation/applause during the ceremony to a minimum – we don’t want anyone to miss the calling of their graduate’s name.
Please express your excitement in ways that will allow others to hear the speaker and enjoy the ceremony. The use of air horns and excessive yelling is prohibited. If you are bringing balloons or anything that will obstruct the view of others, please know that we will ask you to keep those items below the level of the chair backs or place those items around the room’s perimeter until after the ceremony. Additionally, please make every effort to stay for the entire ceremony, as early departures can be very disruptive.
|
| Lost & Found | Any items misplaced during the ceremony will be held at the Help Desk at the Summit Ballroom Registration Desk until 5:00 p.m.
After 5:00 p.m., items will be turned into the Pechanga Resort Lost and Found at the Hotel Registration Desk for your retrieval. |
If you have any questions, please use the form below and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Congratulations!
