Charlotte “Charly” Saltz, a 6th-grade student with Springs’ Venture Online Program, is a rising star on the competitive youth tennis circuit. Charly chose Venture last year to give her the flexibility to pursue tennis, training several hours a day with her father’s tennis program in Los Angeles.
She is currently ranked in the top 90 of the girls’ 12-year-old division. Charly is both athlete and focused learner, said her teacher, Emily Parzick, who meets with her three times a week. Ms. Parzick observed that Charly “works hard on being thorough and creative on each assignment, and she is enthusiastic about meeting challenges head on. We’re lucky to have the opportunity to work with Charly and support her academic needs while she pursues her competitive passion.”
