Leanah Garcia and Presley Cruz are the October and November 2020 Student Artists of the Month. Leanah’s artwork is entitled “Online Superheroes”; Presley’s is “I Depend on You,” a photograph of her father.
Leanah, 5, is a Kindergarten Homeschool student who lives in Riverside. She likes to draw people with pencil, crayons, markers and paint. Her mother, Rebekah, said that Springs has been the “perfect” fit for Leanah. Her interests include exploring the outdoors and cooking. She plans to be a baker.
Presley, 15, is a 9th grade student at the Temecula Student Center who lives in Temecula. She likes to use her digital camera to take photographs of nature, landscapes and family and friends. She chose Springs because she likes its “small setting.” Other interests include reading fantasy and romance novels, theater and debate club. She’d like to be a lawyer.
