Janaya Ayleen Mendez, a 10th-grade student with Springs’ Venture Online program, is the July Student Artist of the Month. Her artwork is entitled “Getting Back is Only the Beginning.”
Janaya is 15 and lives in Menifee. She likes to do digital art using her iPad but also uses a digital pen, a sketchbook, pencils, watercolors, and colored pencils.
Besides art, she likes playing guitar and dancing. She lived in Michoacan, Mexico for five years where she learned Spanish. She has also lived in Paris. She likes animals and would like to be a veterinarian.
