Springs Homeschool Hosts Annual SPREE

Springs Homeschool hosted its annual SPREEs (Student Parent Regional Educational Events) across Southern California, reported Nikkole McAdoo, events and community engagement coordinator. Students had the chance to attend the “lively” Imagination Machine Assembly, she said, an interactive writing workshop led by talented actors.

“This dynamic session ignited creativity, inspiring students to craft their own stories in preparation for the upcoming Young Author’s competition,” Nikkole explained. The winning stories will be performed live at Springs Writing Extravaganza & Young Authors’ Awards Ceremony in January.

While students “unleashed their imaginations,” she continued, parents joined a free homeschool workshop led by Education Specialists Michelle Sullivan and Kelly Harrell. Nikkole said, “These sessions provided valuable insights and support for homeschool education.”

The Springs Homeschool program offers six regional SPREE events throughout the fall, ensuring that families from all areas can participate. These events foster community and enrich both students and parents with engaging and educational experiences.
