School leaders attended the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) conference in New Orleans in July. This conference was attended by over 10,000 participants and along with keynotes and hundreds of sessions available, an expo hall was the main attraction to learn more about current technology tools along with learning labs to explore first-hand educational tech tools.
Lanise Goosby, principal of Virtual Academy and Montessori Voyage, Jackie Dee, principal of Venture Online, Shirley Jones, principal of Homeschool High School-Journey, and Tammy Jackson, Senior Director of Individualized Learning Programs, want to thank the River Springs and Empire Springs boards for the opportunity and experience. This group of school leaders was inspired by a new school year and are working to support the implementation of an eSports option for our students, Tammy reported. Additionally, they are pleased to report that the programs at Springs are on the cutting edge of 21st-century resources available in the educational technology space.
