The staff at Springs’ Rancho Cucamonga Personalized Learning Center has revamped its Positive Behavior Intervention System and is “modeling, rewarding, and celebrating as our students show examples of our Hummingbird Expectations of ‘Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible,’” reported Steve Bentley, vice principal.
The school uses a Class Dojo to help students track and save their points and holds weekly prize drawings for its academy program students and monthly drawings for its learning center students. The class with the most points earned each week is rewarded with a Popsicle party. Additionally, students have the opportunity to visit the school’s student store to purchase school supplies, games, toys, stickers, and art supplies.
Mr. Bentley concluded, “Our students continue to exemplify our expectations daily, and we love celebrating their success.”
