Palm Academy has been selected as a recipient of a Target Field Trip Grant. Teacher Anna Moyer applied for the $700 grant, which will be used to take students to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.
“Living in the desert area, many of our students have limited exposure to the ocean and its inhabitants,” said Alyssa Gonzales, director of the Palm Academy of the Springs Charter School network. “We’re excited about getting our kids out and about, and using the community as our classroom.”
Other Palm Academy field trips include a visit to the Tolerance Education Center in Rancho Mirage to coincide with the middle school students’ reading of The Diary of Anne Frank.
