KEYS Program Moves into New Temecula Facility

Springs has opened the Enterprise Resource Center, a new facility at 27447 Enterprise Circle West, Temecula, which previously had been the Mt. San Jacinto College Temecula Education Complex. Students with Springs’ KEYS College and Career Prep program began making use of the site in April. Continue reading

KEYS Student Excels at Dance

Zaira Garcia, 18, who is in Springs’ KEYS program, is a gifted dancer. She has participated in televised shows for Chinese New Year Galas performing Folklorico; her hip-hop team attended a national competition and took second place. Continue reading

KEYS Teen Competes in Figure Skating

November 7, 2018

Caleb Lofgren, 15, is a KEYS sophomore who has begun competitive skating this year.  Despite having only recently begun, he has progressed quickly, passing 10 U.S. figure skating tests within six months.  His coaches have included Tammy Gambill, who has since moved to Colorado Springs to lead the U.S. Figure Skating Olympic Team to Beijing in 2022. KEYS Teen Active in Civil Air Patrol

Alyssa Takeshita-Kaufman, 15, a 10th-grade student with the KEYS program, is active in the Civil Air Patrol at March Air Reserve Base and had the opportunity to ride onboard a KC-135 Stratotanker, which is used to refuel other planes in flight. Continue reading

KEYS Sisters Volunteer to Help Kindergartners

November 3, 2017

KEYS students and sisters, Natania and Jayna Jaramillo, regularly volunteer to help with kindergarten students. The 11th-grade Banning residents assist with reading, math, and social studies. Natania explained, “I help the kids stay on track with what they are supposed to be doing, while the teacher does ‘teacher time.’” Continue reading
