Homeschool to Offer Classroom Learning Opportunity

The Homeschool team is pleased to announce a new offering at Springs’ Santa Ana Student Center beginning this fall. Students grade K-6 (depending on enrollment) will be able to participate in a two-day a week classical education-inspired program teaching science, history, and enrichment.

Enterprise Four Square Tournament

Springs’ Enterprise Resource Center’s Learning Lab held the championship game of its Four Square Tournament with students in grades 1-8 participating. Students Caleb Lum and Lincoln Guzman won the tournament, and Mr. Nacho, the site custodian, presented them with awards.

Homeschool Talent Show Draws 28 Acts

April 25, 2022

Springs Homeschool students performed in the “Getting Back is Only the Beginning” 2022 Talent Show. Twenty-eight “very impressive” acts were performed, reported Nikki McAdoo, Events and Community Engagement Coordinator. She continued, “Families and staff were thoroughly entertained and impressed by the talent displayed by our students. Springs’ students definitely have talent.”

Homeschool Senior Named Student of the Month

April 7, 2022

Springs Homeschool senior Rebecca Harrel was honored by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce as a Student of the Month. Rebecca has been a Homeschool student since kindergarten and has earned a 4.13 GPA and has completed 38 college units.

Teacher Jennifer Graham offers a Space Exploration Class to 3rd through 6th-grade students at Springs’ Enterprise and Otay Ranch Learning Labs. In one lesson, for example, she demonstrates how protecting an egg relates to real-world challenges faced by engineers who design things like bike helmets, space crafts, and Mars landers.
